Ansel Adams

"You don’t take a photograph, you make it."
Ansel Adams (1902–1984) was an iconic American photographer best known for his black-and-white images of the American West, especially Yosemite. A master of the Zone System, Adams captured landscapes with unmatched detail and tonal range, helping to define fine art photography. His work as a conservationist and his collaboration with the Sierra Club also made him a key figure in the American environmental movement.
